Totally Digging It Tuesday!!

Once again I have taken a little break from blogging and need to get back into things!!

So the first thing I am digging this Tuesday is that we are in Week 29 of pregnancy!!

Here is a look at last weeks photo

My belly is certainly growing!! So is baby K :) I feel her move all the time now!

We had BBQ meatballs and cheesy corn for dinner which was delicious and it is Sons of Anarchy night!!

However what I am digging this Tuesday is our recent trip this past weekend to Omaha Nebraska to celebrate Lumber Jack Days!!

Here are some of my favorite photos to recap our weekend:

Allie Helping her Daddy

Tyler and I's god daughter Maggie!

The hostess with the Mostess!! Thank you for a fabulous weekend Kristin!

The saw mill in action!

It brought in quite the crowd :)

Of course I didn't have anyone take a picture of Tyler and I with our Camera so here is one that Tyler's Aunt Kristin took!! 11 weeks and counting till baby girl arrives :)

Happy Tuesday!!

Totally Diggin It Tuesday!!

It has been FOREVER..... since my last Totally Diggin It Tuesday!!

So I am BACK!!

First up we are now in Week 26 of Pregnancy!!
Here is this week's photo :)

Everything has been still going great!! We are continuing to progress on Nursery décor and Baby prep!! We have our first childbirth class in October :)

Here is glimpse back at week six... I have changed just a little LOL!!

Next up is that we are now 1 week...yes ONE week and counting till the premier of Sons of Anarchy!! I can not explain how excited I am for season 6!!

Now to plan our premier night meal :)

Of course I have to have a food item that I am currently digging!
Jello Poke Cake!

We had friends over on Saturday night and I made this for dessert per Tyler's request and we have been enjoying it ever since :) After tonight it will be all gone :( It is a light and delicious summer treat! That is SUPER easy to make!

My final Diggin it Tuesday Item is my first baby shower invitation that I received in the mail today!! This one is for the Ward/Wassenberg Family Shower on Oct 13th!

Tyler's Aunt Kristin (who is famous for her beautiful invites) created this AWESOME invite that highlighted Baby K's nursery colors and one of my favorite things Gnomes!! LOVE!!

It has been a great Tuesday!! Hope yours has been too!

One Pinterest Project.....kinda complete :)

Here are some updated photos of my embroidery hoop pinterest project!!

I decided to paint the hoops gold for some added flair :)

Here is photos of the steps I used to make each fabric covered hoop!

The larger hoop fits over the smaller hoop that is beneath the fabric then you tighten down the top hoop

This photo shows the underside of the hoop

Trim excess fabric away then tuck fabric and hot glue to inner embroidery ring

Finished project photos:
One single hoop

Here is the line up that will surround our giant K on the wall!
Then on another wall this giant hoop bearing the primary pattern will be hung!

So all the hoops are ready to go!! Now we just need our giant K and will get all hung on the wall :)

In addition yesterday marked 24 weeks of pregnancy!!

Happy Monday!!

Pinterest Project....becoming a reality!

Today I embarked on the beginnings of my first pinterest project for baby girl's nursery!!
I have LOTS of ideas for our little girl's nursery and many are from pinterest of course!!
However by far one of my favorites is pictured below!!

I am planning to do something very similar to these fabric circles in the nursery!
You use embroidery hoops to stretch different patterned fabrics and display them on the wall :)

I LOVE this simple yet fun yet shabby chic look!
As some of you may have heard we are keeping baby girl's name a secret until she is here however we are disclosing that is starts with a K.

Tyler is planning to make a giant wooden K that we will paint a dusty pink and surround it with the fabric circles!! Instead of spelling out the entire name like in the photo.

So I set out on the first step!! Choosing all the fun fabrics :)
I spent....let just say a little while browsing Joann's Fabrics today picking out just the right ones!!
I plan to spray paint the embroidery hoops gold to add a little pa-zaz!

Here are photos of the fabrics I have selected!!
The potential crib bumper has pink/white polka dots on one side and pink/lime green paisley print on the other! So I chose fabrics that kinda pull all this together while still being eclectic!

Green Paisley

Brown and Pink Polka Dots

Pink Paisley

Brown Baby Chevron

Lime Green, Pink, and Orange Flowers along with Brown and White Polka Dots

This extra large hoop will have the same pattern as the one above but will be on a different wall!

I will post pictures when the project is finished, hung on the wall, surrounding the giant K!!

Happy Monday!!
