Memorial Day Weekend Recap!!

Shaking it up this Tuesday!! Doing a Weekend Recap!

 

Tyler and I had a fun yet fast Memorial Day Weekend :)

 

We spent the majority of the weekend with Tyler's Brother Nick, our sister in law Brooke and our energetic niece Allie. 

 

We arrived in Lincoln Friday Night and enjoyed a dinner out. Then hit the hay and prepared for our busy Saturday!

 

Tyler's Cousin Karli graduated from High School on Saturday so we headed to the Omaha Civic Center to watch the ceremony. Congrats Karli!!

 

The excitement of the day was only just beginning....

 

Tyler, Nick, and I left the civic center and headed to our parking space...little did we know what was waiting for us!

These are a few snapshots I got from my window...as we waiting nearly an hour sitting in the truck to make it out through a small opening in the race aka...slow walker people!

 

There were fabulous costumes esp this Mario :)

FYI there were no signs or barricades warning us of a race...the streets were completely clear and calm when we went into the graduation....

 

 

So...about 50mins into our wait a nice cop proceeds to tell us he will help us get out so that we are not late to pick Allie/Brooke up form the children's museum.....and we couldn't miss Karli's grad lunch!!

 

Well needless to say the cop said go one at a time....and well Nick went two at a time and jumped the gun which led to the police officer screaming at us! That we can't follow directions and that it make sense because we were Jayhawk fans.

 

Okay yelling at us because "as Nick says he got a little excited and took off" due to a big gap that could clearly fit two cars not just one....but we draw the damn line at calling us Jayhawk fans!! WTF! There was a powercat sticker on the back window...so either the cop was trying to be funny or he can't tell the damn difference between a Jayhawk and a Powercat!

Hey we made it out...that's all that matters LOL!

 

We made it to Karli's grad lunch at a restaurant Tyler and I have never been to called Spaghetti Works! Delicious! Thanks to Teresa and Tim :)

Everyone in the photo's last name is currently Ward! Very Cool!

 

We headed back to Lincoln and capped off the night with a minor league baseball game featuring the Lincoln Salt Dogs! Very Fun!

Allie LOVED Aunt Monica's popcorn! She went toe to toe with me on how much each of us ate....so much popcorn for such a tiny girl! Allie also loves seeing pictures of herself! So we turned the iphone towards her and snapped a pic :)

 

 

Colby Ridge Popcorn is VERY Delicious!!

 

Sunday and Monday we spent working around the house cleaning and doing LOTS of Laundry!!

That junk sure piles up quick....
