Throwback Thursday!!

 

This very weekend 8 yes...EIGHT years ago Tyler Ward and I went out on our first date! Dinner at Applebee's and an exciting round of miniature golf :) Yep...as classy as it comes!

 

I can't believe it has been eight years!! Where has the time gone?!? If you had told me 8 years ago that I would be Tyler's girlfriend, fiancé, wife and soon to be mother of his child...not sure if I would have believed you!! We were just really good friends and it kinda just went from there.

 

Special thanks to my best friend Amanda for setting us up....we were friends from taking woodshop together but hadn't considered dating until Amanda suggested it to us! Separately of course... 

 

Also huge Thanks to my Mom...she is the reason we went on that first date

Here is the crazy story:

 

Tyler would come in and visit me quite often at the Hardware store I worked at (of which my Mom worked at too). He would come in to get some item for one of his many summer projects and stay and chat awhile like I said we were pretty good friends. Well I think we started or at least I started to think we may be more than just friends. One day Tyler came into the hardware store paid for his items and just left...no hi no bye no conversation. I was BUMMED and told my Mom in a mini breakdown in the tool aisle that he obviously didn't like me. Well she didn't believe that so when Tyler dropped of a chain to be sharpened later that week...she told all the employee's that no one could call him to tell him it was ready besides me :( EEEK! I was very nervous to call...but I had to it was my job right?!?

Well I got my future Mother in Law LuAnn...yes back in 2006 people still used the land line sometimes LOL! She was very nice and said Oh I will send Tyler right down to get the chain. About 10 minutes later Tyler shows up at the store and just so happened to ask me out on our very 1st date!!

 

Okay so moral of the story is that Mother's intuition is always right my Mom knew that Tyler liked me and Thank goodness she didn't let me give up hope!! Tyler claims he doesn't even remember blowing me off that one day but...who knows he was pretty much mine from then on haha!!

 

I am SO glad I went on that very first date.

What I am Diggin this Tuesday!!

 

 

We are at WEEK 16!!

 

I can't believe how fast this time has passed by it seems like just yesterday I found out we were expecting :)

While seeing the nurse practitioner Monday she said "WOW!" You sure have a mover...it was hard to find the heartbeat with the baby moving SO much and making so much other noise kicking up fluid as she called it! At my 12 check up our Doctor had made the exact same comment about our baby moving a lot etc....so two different Physicians saying the exact same thing....I think we have a busy baby on our hands!!

 

Although our baby moves a ton...I can't feel it YET! :( They say anytime I may start to feel something and I am totally looking forward to this can't wait to feel our little one.

 

I am also digging the fact that in 4 weeks from today we have our ultrasound and will get to see our baby!! Now we are finding out the sex but doing so with a gender reveal party so no peeking at the gender during the sonogram...the tech will write down the sex and we will find out at our party that Sunday. Only 5 days to wait....it is gonna be HARD but I know we can do it!! I am so excited to be surprised in front of all our family :)

 

 

I am digging that I have been back at bow making!! I had taken a little hiatus from the bow making business but have recently gotten back into it!! My SIL and BIL are pregnant with their second child aka Tyler and I's second niece...so she had to have some fun new accessories so I have been having lots of fun creating some things for her :)

 

Now what will happen if our baby is a GIRL?!? This bow making thing will probably get out of CONTROL!! HAHA

Throwback Thursday....Weekend Recap!

Okay in honor of Baby W I thought I would do a Mom and Dad baby pic throwback!!

First up Tyler!! With Grandpa Ray :)

Once again my parents look SO young! They were 21 when they had me!

These were quick photos I snagged off my Mom and Tyler's Auntie Kristin's facebook! I will be digging much harder and find some of my Tyler and Monica baby favorites as the months go on!! So stay tuned....Who will BABY W look like Mom or Dad?!?

And now a weekend wrap up!!

We certainly had a interesting weekend!! 

First up Oceans of Fun....an early Father's day for my Dad!

We arrived at Oceans of Fun the sun was shining and we were excited for some fun in the Sun!!

However about 2 HOURS in....our fun turned into craziness!!

The wind picked up...the skys got dark...and little rain droplets began to fall....we quickly moved towards our security locker where all of our items were when it down poured! HARD!!

However the pouring rain was the least of our worries...my little brother and his girlfriend had disappeared! We waited under a building overhand for over an hour worried sick about where they were considering they didn't have cellphone on them...I mean we were at a water park after all!

They eventually turned up with an interesting story of their own!

They had went over to Worlds of Fun and they were almost on a rollercoaster when the storm hit and employee's directed them to the Mamba basement...along with about 200 other people.

They said the smell was fabulous and there was no cell service.

In addition the lights were flickering and almost went out!

So needless to say we had a crazy start to our weekend!!

I of course got no photos!

We followed it up with a much more relaxing sunday!

We had a wonderful lunch at Mark and LuAnn's and presented Mark with his father's day and birthday gifts!! His usual favorite black oil sunflower bird seed and menard's giftcard!

Thanks Mark and LuAnn for a great early Sunday!!

We followed it up with some fishing with my side of the family! Including my Dad's father also know as my PAPA!! We fished for several hours and Tyler (the Daddy to be) was the only one who caught anything :(

It was a great Father's Day but we are looking forward to next year with a precious little baby of our own!!

What I am digging this Tuesday!!

 

Okay so I am trying to get back on the blogging band wagon....I have been hit or miss with my posts :)

 

The first thing I am digging this week is that we are in week 14 of the pregnancy! YAY!!

 

Still feeling great and very excited that in less than 7 weeks we will know if Baby W is a BOY or GIRL!!

 

 

I am also digging that this Saturday my family is going to

 

 

Excited for the Sun and Water fun!!

A great way to celebrate fathers day :)

 

 

In addition I am OFFICALLY done painting all trim on our shop!!

Besides a few pieces of lawn furniture to paint....my painting days are OVER for quite a while....I am so TIRED of painting!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

This and That of my Pregnancy...

I know whenever I hear a friend or family member is pregnant there are always several questions that come to mind....

 

 

So here they are...a few quick questions I am sure folks are wondering and the answers!!

 

Were you trying?!?.... Yes! He or She was a planned bundle of joy :)

 

When is the baby due?  December 8th, 2013....which just so happens to be the first weekend of rifle deer season this baby knew just what time of year to arrive...we will see how much rifle hunting gets done :)

 

How have you been feeling....have you been sick? I am very happy to report that I have been feeling great!! No morning sickness or extreme tiredness so I am BEYOND thankful for this!!

 

Will you find out the gender of the baby? Yes! Tyler said no matter what he would be finding out haha...but we both really want to know!

 

Do you have a prediction of what the baby is? Of course Tyler is like many men in this world and would love his first born to be a son so his prediction is boy all the way....I am slightly on the fence.

I feel really strongly boy for a period of time then I will have a dream it is a girl and my opinion waivers...so I still say boy for now :)

 

Are your parents excited? Yes! Of course! This is the first grandbaby for my parents so they are super excited. Tyler's parents are on grandbaby number 3 and very excited as well!

 

Will you be sharing the babies name? Nope!

The babies name either boy or girl will only be known by Tyler and I until our bundle of joy joins all of us out here in the world!! Since we are finding out the sex we want an element of surprise.

Plus some folks opinions can be harsh :(

 

How is Dad to be feeling? Tyler is of course VERY nervous but also pretty excited...I will admit his face was ghost white when I said the test said PREGNANT! However he seems much less nervous and more excited each day!

 

I think this is most of the ones I have heard so far....
